Hey, it’s me, Dev…

“If I could describe myself in one sentence it would be “I’m cool but I cry alot.” ⁣

I’ve been married to my summer camp crush for 3 years and it was the most wildly-perfect day, spent among the pines, dancing barefoot under the stars. ⁣Our day was over in the blink of an eye and made me realize how special it is to have images that take me right back to those moments.

Most days, I can be found in a pair of overalls with my hair in a tangled mess, snuggling my pup Scout, researching the newest hobby I’m going to pick up (currently it’s pottery) and eating Haribo gummy bears by the bag. ⁣

I’m obnoxiously obsessed with a good love story and finding the best ways to document it.⁣

Nostalgic only scratches the surface of describing this old soul. And, if it wasn’t apparent by now, I’m a true Enneagram 4.”⁣

I cannot wait to meet you! ⁣

xoxo, ⁣
Dev

How did I get here?

Well, that’s a long story. I’ve been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. I grew up in the country surrounded by farm fields and I was always running around or climbing out on the roof to capture the beauty of this earth. I still remember my first camera was purple film camera with a yellow wrist strap. My dream job for a while was to be a Nat Geo photographer.

Fast forward many years and I was looking for a way to avoid your typical boring college job during the school years and also looking to make some extra money while I spent my summer months working at a summer camp. I decided to take my hobby and turn it into something more.

I started with just senior and family photos. When people would ask me if I’d ever consider being a wedding photographer I would quickly say “absolutely not!” But that was before I realized the potential it had for creating something beautiful. All I’d ever seen was boring staged photos and I didn’t want that. I quickly learned that my over emotional and nostalgic personality married (no pun intended) perfectly with being a wedding photographer. This gave me the opportunity to create something unique and to tell stories through my work. I decided after college that I would work a desk job only as long as I needed to but going full-time photography was the goal.

It’s been 7+ years since I started this business and I haven’t looked back since.

Meet my other half!

As I mentioned above, I’ve been married for 3 years to this cutie. (hi greg) He’s the reason this is all possible. He’s my rock and my biggest supporter. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be where I am and wouldn’t have been able to make the leap to full-time. So let’s all give extra thanks for Greg!

Fast forward..

A few years later we tied the knot in the same place where it all began. Under the pines we said I do on the perfect September afternoon.

Afterwards,

I realized how important having our pictures were. I treasure them knowing it’s our only way to remember our day. Time is fleeting, I wish I could change that, but I can’t. What I can do is document your wedding, family, or season of life in a way that it will feel like it was just yesterday.
